At the top of the stairs adjacent to the function
room(s) is a foyer area suitable for pre-dinner
drinks. Alternatively, the Art Gallery on the
ground floor is available as a venue for pre-dinner
drinks, or for larger weddings, the main concourse
area on the ground floor is a further option.
The room has windows on three sides. To the east
the views are towards the Dandenong Ranges and
to the west towards Mt. Macedon. Because the Function
Centre sits high on Doncaster Hill the panoramic
views are a feature of the Centre.
The
function room(s) has a distinctive wave ceiling
as a striking architectural feature that runs
the full length of the room. The room has a large
parquetry dance floor in the area referred to
as function area 2 on the floor plan. In addition
to using the full function room for large weddings,
the room size can be reduced for smaller weddings.
The options are to have a combination of rooms
1 and 2 or to have rooms 2 and 3. The dance floor
is included in whatever combination you choose.
